CHAIRS
While inheriting a design philosophy born from the intersection of Scandinavian and Japanese aesthetics, this evolved model pursues an even greater sense of lightness.
The frame is delicately sculpted to reduce weight, while the handwoven paper cord seat adds warmth and gently cradles the body.
From ancient China to Scandinavia, and now to modern Japan, this chair embodies a lineage of purposeful form—quiet in presence, yet unwavering in strength.

Even arms as sharp and delicate as these can be made astonishingly strong by joining the stile and legs slightly down from the top rail, allowing us to secure the internal dowel deeper in the joint. The joints are then made flush by hand, maintaining the chair’s beautiful form even as excess is sanded away. A reasonably priced, delightful piece.
